Stress relieving mechanical machining can be used in processes that do not alter the current hardness of the material from the stresses that occur in the material after coating, wire or dip erosion.

The stress relieving process can be done on the rough machined part before the hardening process or on the finished part after the heat treatment.

All metals require stress relief after machining or unconventional machining techniques in industry applications.
